Every Artist has a “why”…

When I was a little girl, my mother and grandmother shared their love of cardinals with me. Not only are cardinals a beautiful bright spot in your day, they told me, but they are also good luck, and maybe even an angel visiting you. Since I have been painting cardinals, many of you have shared with me, that cardinals are special to you for the same reasons. Maybe a loved one has passed, and since then, a cardinal has been visiting you. Or maybe when you need a little encouragement or hope, a cardinal appears, as if from above, to keep you going.

My “why,” as an artist, is that cardinals have brought me joy, and peace for my whole life, and that is something that I want to share with you.

Your interest in purchasing a cardinal painting from my 2024 release means the world to me! They are special little birds, and I’m so happy that you see that too. Each cardinal is an original oil painting on a 1.5” thick birch panel, and is meticulously hand gilded with metal leaf. They are also protected by a coat of gloss varnish, so you can enjoy your cardinal for years to come! My cardinals are such a labor of love, and I’m so happy for each one of them to have a happy new home.
